Anthony Maceri has been in the wholesale and retail produce and food industry for over forty years.
Anthony started learning to shift the gears of the truck at age five. He was backing in the semi truck at
age10, and at 14 he was driving a wholesale route. Also during his younger years his mother,
Josephine Maceri, owned and operated a pizzeria in which the menu included oven baked subs and
pasta, in Grosse Pointe Woods. Not only did Anthony work wholesale delivering to restaurants,
hospitals, & markets, he also worked in the family owned restaurant. Anthony worked wholesale and
retail at the same time. He owned and operated with Lori, Tom Maceri's Fruit Market on E. Warren on
Detroit's east side. He services many restaurants throughout Metro Detroit, including National Coney
Island. Produce is received fresh daily direct from growers across the country and around the world at
Tom Maceri & Son, est. 1936, in Detroit's Eastern Market. You can't get any fresher than that.

Anthony has created many fruit tables for weddings and gulf outings. He also created fruit and
vegetable trays for many years at his fruit market, parties, events, and now at Maceri's Soup & Scoop.
